Ranchi, Jan 12: Union Minister for Petroleum and Skill Development Dharmendra Pradhan said that the goal of skill development is not only to create employment for the youth but also to ensure that they live a life of dignity.
In his address during the Skill Summit organised at the Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium located at Khelgaon here he said the core of strength of Jharkhand lay in its forest, minerals, agriculture, water, land and honest and hard working people. The minister said that it was on the shoulder of the youths that this country would be taken further on the ladder of development.
Mr Pradhan said Jharkhand was created by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee but due to political instability the true potential of the state could not be realized. However now things have changed in the state. He said that a stable government has shown what achievements can be made in the state within three years and the proof is this day when 25,000 youths are being given appointment letters. The minister said that earlier the schemes were made in Delhi and all the other states use to follow them but now the schemes of Jharkhand are being followed by Delhi and othe states. He said that one state which has realized the schemes of the center is Jharkhand.
