Six students drowned in Lotwa Dam of Hazaribagh – All bodies recovered

Hazaribagh: Six children drowned in Lotwa Dam in Ichaak police station area of Hazaribagh district. The bodies of all six children have been recovered. All the students left home for school and then Dam went out of school to take bath. All the students are said to be of 12th class.

After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and the entire matter is being investigated. The incident took place in Lotwa Dam adjacent to Salparna forest of National Park under Ichak police station area of Hazaribagh district. The team of divers took out everyone one after the other. Family members also reached the spot.

All the students were students of Mount Mount School located in Hazaribagh. Police reached the spot and conducted a search operation. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the Ichak police team reached the spot. 

All the children had come from Hazaribagh city to visit Lotwa Dam and had come down to take bath in the dam. This accident happened while taking bath. Expressing regret over the news of drowning of six children in Lotwa Dam of Hazaribagh district, CM wrote on social media, heart is pained by the sad news. Relief and rescue work is being done by the district administration.
