Six girls of Jharkhand trapped in Tamil Nadu return home safely

Ranchi: Six girls of Sonuwa block located in Chaibasa have safely returned from Tamil Nadu due to the efforts of the state government. All these girls had gone to Bannari Spinning Mills Limited, Tamil Nadu to do thread work.

A total of Rs 36,000 has also been paid for everyone’s remuneration. In this work, the Safe and Responsible Migration Center, Chaibasa and State Migrant Control Room started by the State Government contributed significantly. The rescued girls were given work by a contractor at the Bannari Amman Spinning Mill in Tripur Tamil Nadu.

When the girls started returning home after three or four months, the contractor stopped them by demanding money. After this the girls sought help from the state government.
