Daltonganj: Police have arrested six culprits who had gang raped a pregnant woman in Bakoria under Satbarwa Police Station area of Palamu district in Jharkhand. Palamu SP Chandan Kumar Sinha also reached Satbarwa Police Station and inquired into the incident.
He said that all six culprits have been arrested in the case. The SP said that while villagers had caught two of them the four remaining were nabbed in police raids. Police sources said that the woman is three months pregnant.
They said that following a quarrel with her husband the woman was going to her parent’s place when she was abducted by the six culprits who gang raped her and also beat up her husband and another relative and even took away their bikes and mobiles.
The culprits after committing the act tried to get the woman killed as she was forcibly taken on a bike which was deliberately dashed with a four-wheeler. The husband of the woman said that while she was going to her parents’ place following a quarrel with him. He along with a relative were trying to convince her back when the six culprits reached at the spot and forcibly took them to a stone crusher were they executed the gang rape.
