SIT Constituted To Investigate Ankita Murder Case

Dumka: The investigation has intensified in the murder case of Ankita Kumari a class 12 student who was set on fire by sprinkling petrol while she was sleeping inside her room in Jaruwadih of Dumka district. In this case, two accused Shahrukh Hussain and his associate Mohammed Naeem alias Chhotu Khan have been arrested and jailed. 

At the same time, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted under the leadership of SP Amber Lakra for in-depth research on scientific and technical aspects. This SIT has been directed to investigate the matter at a speedy pace and submit the charge sheet in the court as soon as possible and along with that, it will also submit the application in the court for a speedy trial. 

In this SIT formed under the leadership of SP, DSP Headquarters Vijay Kumar, DSP Cyber Crime Shivendra, Inspector in-charge of Nagar Police Station, Nitish Kumar, Inspector-in-Charge of Mufassil Police Station, Umesh Ram, Circle Inspector of Dumka Zone, Inspector Devvrat Poddar, Sub Inspector of Nagar Police Station. Dilip Pal, Jitendra Sahu, ASI Jyoti Pandey, crime detective of
SP office and district police constables Ajit Kumar Singh and Niyan Kumar Jha have been included.

In the Ankita murder case, on August 23, the responsibility of investigating the FIR lodged in the city police station case number 200/22 was earlier entrusted to the city police station’s sub-inspector Dilip Pal but now the investigation of this case will be done by the city police station in-charge Nitish Kumar himself. Nitish Kumar is an Inspector rank police officer.

At the same time, SP Amber Lakra himself will supervise the incident. On the other hand, people have come out on the streets to get justice for Ankita. Aakrosh march, candle march and torch procession are being taken out everywhere. At the same time, Godda MP Dr Nishikant Dubey, Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari and Delhi BJP leader Kapil Mishra will come to Dumka on August 31 to meet Ankita’s family members.
