Mumbai — Actress Shweta Tripathi recently delighted fans by sharing a glimpse of her latest traditional look, revealing that she styled herself in her mother-in-law’s saree.
The actress took to Instagram to post a cheerful video in which she is seen posing in a red saree paired with a pink blouse. In the clip, Tripathi appeared excited about the outfit, proudly mentioning that the saree belonged to her mother-in-law.
“Mother in law ki saree pehen kar ready ho chukey hain hum,” she captioned the post.
Shweta married actor and rapper Chaitanya Sharma, popularly known as Slow Cheeta, on June 29, 2018, in Goa.
On the professional front, the actress is gearing up for the release of Mirzapur: The Movie, which is scheduled to hit theatres on September 4. The announcement was earlier shared by the film’s producers, Excel Entertainment, through social media.
The story of the franchise revolves around Akhandanand “Kaleen” Tripathi, a powerful crime boss who dominates the district of Mirzapur in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh.
The original web series Mirzapur featured a star-studded cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, Vikrant Massey, Rasika Dugal, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Gaur and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.
While the second season retained most of the original cast, it also introduced new faces such as Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Priyanshu Painyuli, Anjum Sharma and Neha Sargam.
The upcoming film adaptation will also feature additional cast members including Jitendra Kumar, Sonal Chauhan and Ravi Kishan, alongside returning stars.
The shooting for the film wrapped up on February 1. Shweta had earlier shared a photo of the clapperboard on social media with the message, “Mirzapur The Film Wrapped,” followed by another post featuring the entire cast and crew celebrating the completion of the shoot.
