Mumbai- Acclaimed singer Shreya Ghoshal has been receiving widespread appreciation from music lovers for her song “Saiyaara Reprise” from the film Saiyaara, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda.
The singer revealed that the track has held a special place in her heart ever since she first heard its melody.
Recently, Shreya won the Best Playback Singer (Female) award at the Zee Cine Awards 2026 for her soulful rendition of “Saiyaara Reprise.”
While accepting the award, she expressed gratitude to her team and fans, acknowledging their constant support.
“Winning this award for ‘Saiyaara Reprise’ truly means a lot to me. This song has been very special from the moment I first heard the melody, and bringing its emotions to life was a beautiful experience. I’m thankful to the entire team behind the song and to my fans who continue to shower it with love. Their encouragement always inspires me to keep singing from the heart,” she said.
Apart from her work as a playback singer, Shreya is also one of the judges on the singing reality show Indian Idol.
During a recent episode, the girl group W.i.S.H. impressed the judges with a powerful performance of their popular track “Bolo Bolo.” Shreya praised the group and compared their energy to the iconic ’90s girl band Viva.
“I truly wish W.i.S.H. great success. When I was growing up, there was a band called Viva. For the first time, the country saw the incredible power girls have when they come together — they can conquer the world. Today, I see that same spirit in you. You are a complete package, from singing and performing to your overall presence. I’m sure you will do amazingly well, and I look forward to seeing W.i.S.H. go global,” she added.
