Ranchi: In the 12th Central Convention of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha ‘Dishom Guru’ Shibu Soren was given the command of the party unopposed for the 10th time in a row while expressing confidence in Chief Minister Hemant Soren the party has unanimously elected him as the working president.
The 12th convention of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha concluded on Saturday at Sohrai Bhawan in Harmu. JMM Central President Dishom Guru Shibu Soren and Chief Minister President Hemant Soren had duly inaugurated the convention by lighting the lamp. On the occasion of the death anniversary of Late Binod Bihari Mahato, he was also remembered by the party leaders who paid floral tributes to his picture. In this convention, many political, economic proposals including amendments of the party’s constitution were placed.
Addressing the convention, the working president of the party and Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the people of the state have given a big responsibility to the JMM. In the public interest, the party has to fulfill the sentiments of the people he said adding that all the workers will have to work with this goal that the hope with which the three and a half crore people of Jharkhand have given the opportunity to serve them. Hemant said that the worker is paramount in the party.
He said that organizationally, the party has to achieve a big position and work on this will also be done expeditiously. He said that Jharkhand is known for water, forest and land and its protection is also the responsibility of the party. He further said that for the first time after the formation of a separate state JMM has got the responsibility of running the government completely.
For the last 19 years there was a government in Jharkhand but Jharkhandi sentiments were being sidelined as a result of which the situation is that in 21 years Jharkhand could not reach the height it was supposed to reach therefore the party has to put the sentiments of the people first. Hemant Soren said the tribals, locals, minorities, farmers, labourers are the strength of the party as due to their cooperation JMM has got the reins of the state that is why it is the duty of the partymen to make sure that no one should hurt their sentiments.
