Action taken on JPSC candidates in middle of night, officials fail to give concrete information

Ranchi: Police has taken midnight action on the agitating candidates demanding the cancellation of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) 7th to 10th PT examination at the Morhabadi Grounds. Everyone has been picked up from the spot in the wee hours of the day and taken to an unknown place. Their tent built at Bapu Vatika has also been uprooted and thrown. At the same time, the top officials of the district are refraining from speaking anything clearly on this matter. When asked Ranchi DC Chhavi Ranjan said that he is not aware of this matter as he is busy in a government programme.

Ranchi City SP Saurabh said that he was currently busy in a meeting and will be able to tell anything in this matter after the meeting. According to the information from the sources, the phones of all the agitating candidates have been confiscated. On behalf of the administration, they have been instructed not to tell anything to anyone. Earlier on Friday evening, Congress MLA Irfan Ansari had met all the agitating candidates. He had inquired about the flaws from them and had assured to keep the matter before the Chief Minister. After the release of the PT result, a large section of angry candidates were agitating in front of Bapu Vatika of Morhabadi for the last 50 days.

After admitting the errors on the part of JPSC, now these candidates were demanding the cancellation of the exam as well as its investigation by the CBI. They alleged that there was rigging on a large scale. They are also demanding the removal of JPSC President Amitabh Chaudhary. At the same time, the opposition BJP is also attacking the government on this issue. The BJP created a ruckus in the assembly on Friday on this issue. They are demanding the removal of JPSC Chairman Amitabh Choudhary along with the cancellation of the exam.
