Shah lauded Raghubar’s work in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Sep 16: BJP’s national president Amit Shah lauded the works being done by the state government under Chief Minister Raghubar Das and said that under him all round development was taking place and Jharkhand was on the way to become a developed state.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters here Mr Shah who is on a three day visit to the state said that the Chief Minister was working to accelerate developmental works which can be visualized in all the corners of the state. He said that it is for the first time after creation of Jharkhand that a full majority government was in power which is using this opportunity for the development of the state.

He said that the central government too was whole heartedly supporting the Jharkhand government in its initiatives as the share of the state in the central taxes which was Rs 39,938 crore during the 13th finance commission has increased to Rs 1,24,408 crore under the 14th finance commission while central grants have gone up from Rs 6,087 crore to Rs 9,469 crore.

The funds under the state disaster management has moved up from 1075 crore to Rs 1507 crore while grants for the urban local bodies has moved up from 1,891 crore to Rs 7,961 crore . Further the state has also received Rs 1.17,328 crore through e-auction of 21 coal mines and overall the funds received from the  central government was Rs 2,30,780 crore.

The National President of the party also pointed that the central government has also provided funds worth Rs 13,937 crore under various schemes included Smart City Project, Swach Bharat Abhiyaan, Solid Waste Management, Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana, AMRUT Mission, DMF, TAMRA, construction of bridge over Ganga in Sahibganj and other projects.
