Seven minors recovered from Hatia station, three smugglers arrested

Ranchi: Police have recovered seven minors from Hatia station on Sunday. Along with this, three smugglers have also been arrested. AHTU of RPF Post Hatia, Nanhe Farishte and a flying team of Ranchi Division have jointly taken this action.

According to Sources, a campaign against child and human trafficking is being run at Hatia station. At around 5 in the morning, during checking, seven minors and three persons were waiting for the train under the escalator on platform number one. In case of doubt, everyone was interrogated.

During interrogation, it was revealed that the three people along with seven minors had come to Hatia Railway Station by bus to catch the train (train number 18637 Express) going to Vijayawada. Sunesh Kachhap, one of the three persons caught during police interrogation, told that contractor Riyaz Ansari’s tractor work was going on in his village.

Sunesh Kachhap was also working there. Told that Riyaz Ansari was taken to the virus company making electric boards located in Vijayawada six months ago. He came to the village two months ago. On April 6, 2024, contractor Riyaz Ansari called him at Daltenganj bus stand and introduced him to these seven minors. Sunesh Kachhap said that Riyaz Ansari gave him Rs 5,000 and all the fake Aadhar cards.

He said that Riyaz Ansari asked him to take all the minors with him to Vijayawada, where Riyaz previously worked. Riyaz told him that after taking him there, he would give him another five thousand rupees.  It was only on his request that he brought all the minors from Daltenganj to Hatia station by bus. Having taken a general ticket from the station, he was waiting on platform number one for the train going to Vijayawada.
