RanchiĀ : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday said that amid the Corona pandemic and ongoing severe winter season it is the responsibility of all to serve the poor and the needy.
Addressing the people while participating in a blanket distribution programme organised at St Xaviers School Doranda under the initiative of Mission One Million Smiles he said that the winter season is very hard for the poor and extending social security and cooperation to such sections was the responsibility of all. He said that the state government was committed to provide all the necessary resources to the needy.
The Chief Minister said that the state government was making all possible efforts so that normal life can run in the state. He said that due to Coronavirus many changes have taken place and to protect humanity people have themselves adopted new methods and have developed new mechanisms.
He said that the state government has decided to open the schools for the students of class 10th and 12th but at present due to fear of pandemic the number of students coming to the schools was not encouraging however it was not an issue of being disappointed. He said that people should extend cooperation to one another and move forward in life.
He said that in life no should not be scared of challenges but people should fight with determination to overcome the obstacles. He lauded the role of the district administration and the school management who had joined hands for a noble cause and asked them to continue their work. The Chief Minister also distributed blankets and warm clothes among the needy on the occasion.
Those who were present on the occasion included Principal of the School Father Sanjay Karketta, Ranchi DC Chhavi Ranjan and others.
