Secretariat siege case – BJP MP Nishikant Dubey gets relief from HC

Ranchi:  The petition of BJP’s Godda MP Nishikant Dubey was heard in the Jharkhand High Court on Monday. The court of Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi has given its decision to maintain the relief given to Nishikant Dubey. 

Also, the order to stop the pestilential action against them was extended till December 12. 

MP Nishikant Dubey had filed a petition to cancel the FIR lodged at Dhurva police station during the siege of the secretariat. Advocates Prashant Pallav and Parth Jalan presented their side on behalf of Nishikant Dubey. The court will now hear this case on December 12.

In this case, a reply has been filed by the state government, to which the applicant has to respond. After the disturbance in the BJP’s Secretariat gherao program in the month of April 2023, a case was registered against 41 people including three former CMs, 5 MPs in Dhurva police station. Whose case number is 107/2023

Sections related to creating a nuisance, inciting riots, violating government instructions, obstructing government work, inciting crime and causing harm to another person were imposed on the accused.
