Schools will remain closed till June 14 due to extreme Heat Wave Conditions in the state

Ranchi: All Schools including Government and Private Schools will remain closed till June 14 due to extreme Heat Waves and hot and dry weather conditions in Jharkhand as per notification issued by the Department of Literacy Development and School Education in Jharkhand. 

Members of the Parents Welfare Organisation wrote a letter to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren over the extension of summer holidays in the state. Secretary School Education and Literacy Development K Ravi Kumar on Sunday issued a notification.

Parents were in chaos about the extension of the summer holidays. Extreme Heat Waves and Dry and Hot Weather Conditions caused the closing of schools. 

Ranchi including various parts of state like Jamshedpur, Chaibasa, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Giridih, Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Palamu and Garhwa witnessed more than 41 degree Celsius. 

A delay in Monsoon rain caused an extension of vacation. Although Monsoon hit Kerala Coast and will reach Jharkhand by June 18, the Meteorological Department said on Sunday. It is very difficult for schoolchildren to attend classes on hot and dry summer days. Few Parents Complained that the Skin of Children burn due to heat waves and extreme sunlight.
