Schools up to 8 to remain closed till June 21

Ranchi: The Department of School Education and Literacy has extended the school holidays for the third time in view of the scorching heat and the weather department’s alert. An order has also been issued by Education Secretary.

According to the issued notification, there will be holidays from class KG to VIII in all categories of schools run in Jharkhand.

The holidays for these classes will remain till June 21. At the same time, permission has been given to conduct the classes of class 9th to 12th from 7 am to 11 am.

In the issued notification, the secretary has said that keeping in view the extreme heat and heat wave in the state, all categories of government, non-government aided / unaided (including minority) and all private schools operating in the state will remain closed until June 21.

At the same time, classes from ninth to 12th will be conducted. This notification has been issued due to the increasing heat in the state. 

According to the data of the Meteorological Department, there is no such district in the state, whose temperature is less than 40 degrees.
