Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has directed DC Godda to complete the probe related to the gang rape of a Sadhvi and arrest the culprits as soon as possible.
The instructions from the Chief Minister followed after he was informed about a Sadhvi being gang-raped in an Ashram late last night in the district. Godda SP later informed the Chief Minister that police were investigating the matter and one of the culprits have been nabbed.
In another tweet made on his social media platform, the Chief Minister directed Bokaro DC to provide all necessary help to a rape victim and take necessary actions against the guilty.
He was informed that a woman was gang-raped on September 2 but her fir was not being registered by the police. However, the district police said that the FIR has been registered in the case on Monday itself at the women police station.
Hemant also paid his tributes to the martyrs of the Gua Firing incident. He said that all need to work together to make a Jharkhand as per the dreams of great martyrs and revolutionaries.
