Ranchi, Mar 8: The BJP has decided to field its candidates for both
the seats of the Rajya Sabha from the state with the names of Ajay
Maroo and Sanjay Seth being in the top.
The BJP or any other party from the state is yet to announce its
candidates officially but all parties have commenced back channels
negotiations. Congress party on the other hand wants to send its one
the top leaders into the Rajya Sabhs with the help of the JMM and
other smaller parties. The BJP on the other hand has clearly stated
that it would fight on both the seats.
State BJP president Laxman Giluwa said that there was no chance of any
outsider being sent to the upper house of the parliament and a
dedicated party workers from the state would be given the ticket to
Rajya Sabha from Jharkhand. He said that so far the central election
committee meet in this regard has ntnot been held but some names would
be forwarded to the central leadership from the state unit of the
party.
