Mumbai- Actress Richa Chadha has shared a heartfelt message on self-love and authenticity, encouraging people to embrace their natural beauty as she proudly showed off her natural curls on social media.
The ‘Fukrey’ actress took to Instagram on Thursday to post a series of photos of herself as she returned to dance practice, revealing that she plans to keep her natural hair texture more often.
Sharing the images, Richa wrote, “Back to dancing hence missing the tresses… that’s my real texture… think I’ll try keepin it real, more and more so.”
Expressing her affection for her natural hair, the actress added a light-hearted anecdote, saying, “I love my hair. That day I was meditating and the top of my pony accidentally touched the top of my crown and I felt a current. I am electrified at the thought that my hair is like antennae. Haha. Cute, magical and mildly scary it is.”
She also recalled a conversation with a film director who once told her she looked different from different angles. Richa responded by saying that it was a blessing for an actor to have such versatility. Wrapping up her note, she encouraged everyone to appreciate their own natural beauty, writing, “Look different every day and love your hair. I love my hair. (Say it with me!).”
On the work front, Richa Chadha is gearing up to share screen space with her husband, Ali Fazal, for the first time in Shashie Vermaa’s upcoming situational comedy set in Delhi. Although the two have previously appeared in the same films, this will mark their first on-screen pairing as a couple.
Speaking about the project, Richa said the screenplay immediately appealed to her because of its effortless humour and meaningful social commentary. She also shared that returning to a Delhi-based story brought back memories of her early school years in the city.
Talking about working with Ali, the actress said she is excited to explore a new on-screen dynamic with him, describing him as an instinctive performer.
Directed by actor-writer-filmmaker Shashie Vermaa, the yet-to-be-titled comedy is set against the lively backdrop of Delhi. The film is expected to go on floors in the second half of 2026 and is scheduled for a theatrical release in April 2027.
