Ranchi: Secretary, Rural Development Department, Prashant Kumar has instructed the Deputy Development Commissioners of all the districts that the major schemes of the Rural Development Department like Mnrega, Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, Veer Shaheed Poto Ho Vikas Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar housing schemes necessary progress should be made so that maximum employment should be created and the implementation of schemes should be done on a large scale.
He said that a site inspection of the schemes would also be done. He was addressing the Deputy Development Commissioners of all the districts through video conferencing in the Rural Development Department auditorium. In the meeting, instructions were given by the Secretary to complete all the pending schemes under Mnrega as well as a review of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Mnrega he also directed for necessary progress in the creation of man days under Mnrega. He asked all the DDCs to bring progress in the creation of man days.
During the meeting, Mnrega commissioner Rajeshwari B was first informed about the progress of the ongoing schemes under the scheme. Secretary Prashant Kumar, while reviewing the Mnrega scheme district-wise, directed to bring necessary progress in the districts where progress is slow.
The Secretary directed to focus on Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, Didi Bari Yojana, etc. The Secretary said that a maximum number of schemes should be selected and a maximum number of schemes should be completed. He said that Deputy Development Commissioners have an important role in rural development schemes. He said that apart from being interested in taking the plan, special emphasis on completing it should be given. He asked them work with a free hand, focus on accomplishing the goal, but complaints should not be received.
The Secretary said that the completion of the pending houses under the Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojana with special attention should be done. During the review of Mnrega work by Secretary Rural Development Department Prashant Kumar, the plans for the financial year 2019- 20 were also reviewed and taking information about the pending schemes, all the Deputy Development Commissioners were instructed to complete the work plan without delay.
