Residents of Hazaribagh to get receipt of the land, CM gives consent

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed the Zamindari rights being enjoyed by Hazaribagh Municipality till now under the provisions of Bihar Land Reforms Act, 1950 and a meeting convened on 21.06.2022 under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue, Registration and Land Reforms Department. 

Approval has been given on the proposal to vest in the State Government as per the instructions given for the transfer of records. The revenue receipt of about half the land of Hazaribagh city was issued by the Hazaribagh Municipality. In the year 2011-12, the then SDO had banned this process. 

From then till now, people had to face many problems regarding the purchase and sale of land, mutation, etc The district administration also did not have the authority to issue receipts, due to which the problem was getting complicated. Questions in this regard were also asked in the Assembly in the past.

Many public representatives and local people had put forward the demand for redressal of this problem many times before the previous governments. But the solution was never found. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given his consent to the proposal to issue a receipt to the Revenue Department to simplify the process of issuance of receipt after knowing about the matter.
