Ranchi: The activity of gangs of women in the drug trade is increasing.

A gang of women is smuggling ganja from Andhra Pradesh to Bihar via Ranchi.

This was revealed when the RPF flying team caught three women with 69 kg of ganja at Hatia railway station.

During checking on platform number three on Saturday night, it was seen that three women were sitting suspiciously with heavy bags.

When they were interrogated on the basis of suspicion, they revealed their names as Bindu Devi, Urmila Devi, and Tettri Devi.

All three are residents of Bhabua, Kaimur of Bihar. When the police searched his bag, 69 kg of ganja was recovered from him. Its estimated price is around Rs 34 lakh.

All three women told during interrogation that they reached Hatia railway station with ganja from Andhra Pradesh.

After this it was to be sold in Bihar at a higher price.

However, before this all the women were caught.
