Ranchi: Jharkhand’s pride is continuously increasing under the able guidance of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi has once again hoisted its flag as a smart city in the India Smart City Contest Award. Smart City Ranchi, which has established itself as the best performer in the implementation of the Smart City Mission’s tasks like security, traffic management, urban mobility, social aspect and land monetization etc., was awarded the Best Performer City Award among the Smart Cities of Eastern Zone.
The award was given by President Draupadi Murmu at the India Smart City Conclave 2023 organized at the Brilliant Convention Center in Indore, Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday. On behalf of the state government, Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department and CEO cum Managing Director of Ranchi Smart City Corporation Vinay Kumar Choubey, Director of State Urban Development Agency Amit Kumar and General Manager of Smart City Ranchi Rakesh Kumar Nandakuliar received this honor from the hands of the President.
This award is based on the India Smart City Contest Award – 2022. Before the decision of this award, information about special efforts being made in different fields in all the 100 cities of the country was shared through power point presentation and video, after that the team of the Ministry went to every city and verified it. Did. This time a proposal was sent from Ranchi on subjects like city security, traffic management, urban mobility, social aspect and land monetization etc.
