Ranchi: After rain in many districts of Jharkhand, people have got some respite from the heat.
People suffering from scorching heat are going to get more relief, because the monsoon is slowly moving towards Jharkhand.
Abhishek Anand, head of the Ranchi-based weather centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), that the southwest monsoon will be over Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, the northeastern part of the Bay of Bengal as well as the Himalayas of West Bengal.
And has reached some parts of Bihar.
Monsoon is currently passing through Amravati, Gondia, Durg, Rampur (Kalahandi), Malda, Bhagalpur and Raxaul.
He said that it has started moving towards the North Arabian Sea, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and north-eastern part of the Bay of Bengal, the Gangetic region of West Bengal and the remaining sub-Himalayan and some parts of Jharkhand.
The meteorologist said that along with all these areas, monsoon will reach some parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in the next 3-4 days.
Abhishek Anand said that a cyclonic circulation is forming in East Bihar and its adjoining areas. Another cyclonic circulation is also being seen in Assam.
The meteorologist also told what the weather will be like tomorrow in Jharkhand.
He said that on June 20 and 21, there will be strong gusts of wind at some places in the state.
The wind speed can be 40 to 50 kilometres.
Orange alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department for these 2 days.
The meteorologist has also predicted heavy rain at isolated places in the north-eastern and south-eastern parts on June 21.
In the north-eastern part, apart from Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur and Sahibganj of Santal Pargana, Giridih and Dhanbad districts come.
Kolhan division’s three districts in the south-eastern parts include Seraikela-Kharsawan, East Singhbhum and West Singhbhum.
The meteorologist said that an orange alert for rain and thunderstorms with strong winds has been issued for June 22 also.
Told that on June 21, the sky will be cloudy in the capital Ranchi also.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall once or twice.
The maximum temperature is expected to be 34 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to be 24 degrees centigrade.
Scientists at the Ranchi-based weather centre have said that there is a strong possibility of light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms at many places in Jharkhand on Thursday.
The maximum temperature may drop by 2-3 degrees centigrade during the next 24 hours.
This will give people some relief from the heat.
