Ranchi, Aug 28 (By correspondent): The Ranchi District Administration has sent 32,000 kilograms of relief materials for the flood-hit victims of Kerala. Addressing a press conference at the collectorate here Ranchi DC Rai
Mahimpet Rey said residents of Ranchi from their own level have also supported the people in this time of grief and thanked the railways for its support. He said that on Tuesday also 4,000 kilograms of relief material has been sent which included eatable items and other items of need for the people.
The DC also congratulated the people for the peaceful end to Bakri Eid and conclusion of the Shravan Month. He also shared information related to Mukyamantri Jan Samwad, Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana, PMAY, Anganwadi Kendra, Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme and transportation.
Those present on the occasion included AC Anjani Kumar Mishra and other officials of the different departments concerned. Adding further he said that in wake of the polls of 2019 in Ranchi a short period of revision of electoral rolls will commence from September 1 under which the draft publication will be made and said that special drive will be conducted so that more and more people and get their name included in the voter list.
He urged the people that if they have to get their name registered in the voter list or make any correction than they should reach the concerned polling stations. Mr Rai said that in Ranchi district 1.43 lakh students have been given their post-matric scholarship through DBT worth about Rs 16 crore while another 17,000 students have been money through DBT to purchase the by-cycles which are around Rs 5 crore.
