Ranchi DC took oath along with officers and personnel on National Unity Day and taken part in Run for Unity event

Ranchi: 148th birth anniversary of India’s first Home Minister, late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel celebrated on Tuesday. Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary is celebrated as National Unity Day.

On this occasion, an oath taking program was organized at Ranchi Collectorate. During this, Ranchi DC Rahul Kumar Sinha took the oath of national unity along with all the officers an personnel. DC said that the entire country is grateful to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for playing a major role in the political integration of India. At the time of independence, the country was divided into more than 550 princely states.

Sardar Patel played an important role in merging these princely states with India. For this the entire country will always remember and salute him. The birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, “Run for Unity” was organized under Ranchi district. Disabled people of the district participated in “Run for Unity”. The program started from Morhabadi Maidan, Ranchi and was organized till Ranchi College campus.

The participants present before the event were congratulated by Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, K.N. Jha, Secretary, Women, Child Development and Social Security Department, Jharkhand, Rahul Kumar Sinha, Deputy Commissioner. While addressing the -cum- District Magistrate, Ranchi, the contribution of Sardar Patel and his biography were highlighted.

The program was organized in collaboration with the Composite Regional Centre (CRC) Namkum. Persons with disabilities participated enthusiastically in the program. The participants marched in a queue till the closing point of the program, following the prescribed route with various types of slogans and slogans being chanted.

CRC Director, Jitendra Yadav, State Disability Commissioner, Jharkhand Abhaynandan Ambasht, District Social Welfare Officer Sweta Bharti, Assistant Director, Social Security Cell Ravi Shankar Mishra, Deepshikha, NGO and Parents Association, representatives of NGO were present in the program. Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, highlighted the ideals and biography of Sardar Patel, especially saying that Vallabhbhai Patel had played an important role in bringing about political integration. Whom the entire country remembers with great respect and will always be remembered.
