Ranchi admn reviews revenue work, directs speedy disposal of pending land cases

Ranchi: In a bid to make revenue and land reform-related work more transparent, efficient, and timely, the Ranchi district administration organized a detailed review meeting of revenue work at Room No. 505, Block B of the Ranchi Collectorate today. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Shri Manjunath Bhajantri.

The meeting focused on the review of pending revenue cases, especially filing and disposal matters, demarcation, correction work, and land reports requested by various departments. Revenue officials, subordinate Amins, revenue sub-inspectors, and circle inspectors were instructed to improve their work practices. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that addressing public grievances is a top priority for the district administration, and any negligence or delay in revenue services will not be tolerated. Officials were also directed to ensure that citizens do not face unnecessary visits to offices while seeking resolution of their issues.

During the meeting, the progress of cases pending for more than 90 days, including both objectionable and non-objectionable filing and disposal cases, was reviewed, with instructions to prioritize their disposal. Special emphasis was placed on the swift hearing and completion of non-objectionable cases pending for over 30 days. Demarcation-related matters, record correction and revision work, and the preparation and submission of land reports requested by various departments were also discussed. Officials were asked to closely monitor cases of double deposit restrictions.

Deputy Commissioner Bhajantri reiterated that revenue work is an essential part of public service and any laxity in it will not be tolerated. He stressed that timely disposal of applications and maintaining transparency while ensuring citizens receive prompt and fair relief are the administration’s highest priorities.

The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Officer Sadar Ranchi Shri Utkarsh Kumar, Additional Collector Ranchi Shri Ramnarayan Singh, Land Reform Deputy Collector Shri Mukesh Kumar, District Land Acquisition Officer Shri K.K. Rajhans, Special Settlement Officer Smt. Moni Kumari, District Transport Officer Shri Akhilesh Kumar, District Social Welfare Officer Smt. Surbhi Singh, Assistant Director Social Security Shri Ravishankar Mishra, and all circle officers, revenue staff, subordinate Amins, revenue sub-inspectors, and other concerned officials.

This meeting reflects the Ranchi district administration’s continued commitment to digitizing and streamlining land and revenue services while prioritizing citizen convenience. Similar review meetings are expected to continue in the coming days.
