Rameshwar Oraon accuses Centre of step motherly treatment towards non BJP ruled states

Ranchi: State Finance and Food Supplies Minister Dr Rameshwar Oraon said that the BJP-led NDA government at the Center is adopting a discriminatory attitude towards non-BJP ruled states and this is being propagated to mislead the public. He said that it is being claimed that the state government is not giving schemes for the development of tribals, minorities, scheduled castes and backward classes which is the complete opposite of what is happening on the ground.

On behalf of the state government, it is being repeatedly asked for funds from the central government by making schemes for the development of tribals, scheduled tribes and other backward classes and not only the state share is being provided in the old schemes, but also the utilization certificate related to the expenditure has also been handed over.

Despite this what kind of assistance is being received from the central government everyone is watching, he said. Rameshwar Oraon said that the BJP government wanted to change the land acquisition law which is aimed to protect the land and forest of the tribals, which could not be possible and this is the reason why BJP got wiped out from all tribal areas of Jharkhand. Senior party leader Alok Kumar Dubey said that BJP leaders and their Union ministers are trying to speak a lie a hundred times to prove it true but during the Corona period the people of Jharkhand have seen how the state government functions. He said that thousands of crores of rupees were forcibly deducted from the account of the state government with the RBI on the issue of pending payment to the DVC.
