Rain every day in Jharkhand till October 8

Ranchi: There is a possibility of light and moderate rain with thunderstorms in the state throughout the week (till October 8). The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert till October 5. There is a possibility of rain in all parts of the state on Wednesday also. In the areas where there is high possibility of rain, light to moderate rain may occur in many areas including Simdega, Seraikela Kharsawan, East and West Singhbhum. Similar weather patterns may persist till October 8.

The weather department has also issued an alert regarding thunderstorms. There has been damage due to lightning in many parts of the state. The Meteorological Department has appealed to the people to remain alert during this period. During heavy rains, staying under a tree, under an electric pole and using the phone in the rain is prohibited. Due to heavy rains in the capital Ranchi, the roads are also filled with water. There is a possibility of rain from 6th to 8th October, but no alert has been issued for this yet. 

Light to moderate rain has occurred in many parts of the state in the last 24 hours. Maximum rainfall of 191.5 mm occurred in Bhavanathpur of Garhwa. There was 13.0 mm rainfall in Saryu, 12.6 in Hazaribagh, 12.0 in Ketar, 114.2 in Bardiha, 98.5 in Shialchak, 92.6 in Latehar, 84.4 in Kanke, 76.6 in Bokaro, 75.6 in Bokaro Thermal, 2.5 in Dhurki and 68 mm in Chandrapura. There was 62.8 mm rainfall in Daltonganj, 62.7 in Kandi, 60 in Dumri, 59.6 in Nanddih, 58.7 in Mandu and 56.3 mm in Tuladih. During this period, Ranchi also received 46.4 mm rainfall.
