Ranchi: Rainfall coupled with thunderstorms hit the capital city on late Monday evening. Apart from Ranchi thunder and lightning also took place in some parts of Gumla, Lohardaga, Simdega, Khunti and East Singhbhum districts.
As precautionary measures, the weather station had issued a yellow alert for these areas. In the last 24 hours, there was sporadic rain in Putki, Satgawan, Pathargama and Jamshedpur, Dhanbad and Ranchi.
The Meteorological Center in the forecast has said that the weather is likely to remain clear till March 5. On March 4, there will be partly cloudy sky. Gradually the temperature will start increasing and the maximum temperature can go beyond 30
degree celsius. The minimum temperature may remain above 15 degree celsius. Jamshedpur has received 104 mm of rain from January to February 27.
The capital Ranchi has received about 78.6 mm of rain during this period. It has rained around 61 mm in Chaibasa and 16 mm in Daltonganj while Bokaro has received about 61 mm of rain in this period.
