Rain alert in many districts of Jharkhand for next 48 hours

Ranchi: Many districts of Jharkhand including Ranchi have been receiving torrential rains for the last four days due to this a drop in temperature has been recorded in the state. In the last 72 hours, the capital Ranchi has received 145.3 mm of rain.

The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in many districts of the state for the next 48 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be heavy rain from Monday morning in many adjoining districts including the capital Ranchi.

According to the Weather Department, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning will take place in some parts of Ranchi, Sahibganj, Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Godda, Gumla, Jamtara, Saraikela-Kharsawan, West Singhbhum district from Monday morning due to which the Meteorological Department has urged people to be alert and careful and should not stay under the tree.

Also, farmers have been asked not to go to their fields and wait for the weather to become normal. According to meteorologist Abhishek Anand, a low-pressure area is visible over the North Bay of Bengal. The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level and is sloping southwards with elevation. 

Due to this good rains will be seen in the entire state for the next two to three days. At mean sea level, the Monsoon Trough is now moving north-west and adjoining north-east Arabian Sea, Erinpura, Kota, Satna, Daltonganj, Digha and from there southwards up to the center of the Low-Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal.

Light to moderate rainfall has occurred in some districts of the state in the last 24 hours. At the same time, it has rained at one or two places in the central parts. Ranchi (Airport) recorded the highest rainfall of 79.8 mm. The maximum temperature recorded in Deoghar (KVK) is 33.2 degrees and the minimum temperature at Ranchi (Airport) was 23 degrees.

As for the Weather forecast for the next few days for Ranchi is considered on August 15 it will be generally cloudy, two or more spells of light to moderate rainfall, maximum temperature will be 29 degrees minimum temperature 22 degrees.

On August 16 it will be generally cloudy, there will be light rain while on August 17 it will be generally cloudy, rain likely with maximum temperature to be around 30 degrees and minimum temperature 23 degrees.
