Raghubar promises to make a Jharkhand free from fear, hunger and corruption

 

Ranchi, Aug 15: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the state has commenced its journey of development and was scaling new heights but the tree of development needed to be saved from the ‘termite’ of corruption’ and promised to make such a Jharkhand which was free from fear, hunger and corruption.

Addressing the people after hoisting the national flag on the occasion of the nation’s 70th Independence Day at the Morhabadi Grounds here he said that all people needed to pull-in their creative and positive energy so that a new and developed Jharkhand can be built. He said that the administration has to be made more transparent, sensitive and answerable so that the welfare schemes can be executed and the benefits reach to the targeted audience.

The Chief Minister once again used the occasion to urge the Maoists to shun the path of violence and surrender and return to the main walk of life. He said that over the last few years the incidents of Maoists violence has reduced in the state. Mr Das said that providing security to all was responsibility of the state government and assured the people of the state especially the women that their security would be accorded top most priority by the state government.
