Raghubar Das took oath as the Governor of Odisha: Chief Justice Dr. Justice Vidyut Ranjan Sharangi administered the oath

Bhubaneswar:  Raghubar Das, former CM of Jharkhand, took oath as the Governor of Odisha on Tuesday. He was administered the oath of office by Dr Justice Vidyut Ranjan Shadangi, Chief Justice of Odisha High Court. Raghubar Das was welcomed by the state Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Raj Bhavan. Where he had darshan and worship of Jagannath Swami in Puri Dham. He prayed to Mahaprabhu for everyone’s welfare. After this met the devotees outside the temple.

Many leaders of Jharkhand have attended the swearing-in ceremony held at Odisha Raj Bhavan. These included Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, Ajay Maru, Bokaro MLA Viranchi Narayan, Gangotri Kujur, former speaker of Jharkhand Assembly Dr Dinesh Oraon. Before leaving for Odisha, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das resigned from the primary membership of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He met Bharatiya Janata Party National President JP Nadda in New Delhi and submitted his resignation letter.

In Delhi, he also had a courtesy meeting with BJP National Organization General Secretary BL Santosh. Earlier in the day, he had a courtesy meeting with former President Ram Nath Kovind. The notification appointing BJP National Vice President Raghubar Das as the Governor of Odisha state has been issued on October 18. 

Making former CM Raghubar Das the Governor of Odisha is being considered a big decision regarding the Lok Sabha elections. He will replace Odisha Governor Das Ganeshi Lal. He started his political journey as a labour leader in Tata Steel, Jamshedpur. Raghubar Das has been active in politics since 1995. Raghubar Das, former CM of Jharkhand, is originally from Chhattisgarh. He was born on May 3, 1955. His birthplace is Rajnandgaon. He received his education from Jamshedpur. 

Raghubar Das is a law graduate from Jamshedpur Co-operative College. He started his political journey as a labor leader in Tata Steel, Jamshedpur. Raghubar Das has been active in politics since 1995. Raghubar Das has two children. A son and a daughter, both are married and have children. Raghubar Das is both grandfather and maternal grandfather. Along with family responsibilities, Raghubar Das has also been fulfilling political responsibilities well.
