Raghubar announces Rs 1 lakh for Ramesh Sahu for study

Ranchi, Jul 29: Chief Minister Raghubar Das has announced an assistance of Rs 1 lakh for Ramesh Sahu which will help in his studies.

The story of Ramesh Sahu was narrated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Mann Ki Baat Programme.

Ramesh hails from Navni village of Ghagra block of Gumla district. The boy has emerged topper in Inter Arts Exam from Gumla district having scored 377 marks. His father is a labourer who works at a brick Klink and the boy himself sells toys and balloons in local fairs.

Ramesh says that unfortunately his mother died in 2009 after which his father took care of him. His younger brother Viajy is a student of class 7th while two sisters have been married. Ramesh dreams of passing BA first and than cracking the UPSC exam and becoming an IAS officer.

Meanwhile his father Laxman Sahu is a very happy man as he says that he still can not belief that his son has managed to catch the attention of Prime Minister. Even the teachers of the college where Ramesh studies says that the boy has potential to move forward.
