Providing safe, accessible and better roads to the residents of Ranchi is priority for government: Hemant Soren

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren held a high-level meeting with the officials of Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Company Ltd (JUDCO) at his Residential Office here during the officials of JUDCO placed a PowerPoint presentation of the master plan of the proposed “Zonal Beautification and Redevelopment of Existing Street and Related Infrastructure from Albert Ekka Chowk to Kutchury Chowk and Surrounding Areas in Ranchi” before the Chief Minister.

Under this action plan proposed by JUDCO, a master plan related to the beautification and redevelopment works of existing roads and infrastructure in Ranchi from Albert Ekka Chowk to Kutchury Chowk and the surrounding area has been prepared.

The Chief Minister took detailed information about the master plan of the proposed action plan, deeply understood each and every aspect of the master plan and gave many necessary suggestions and guidelines to the officials.

Under the master plan, the construction of three multilevel parking with vending zone, expansion of green area, widening of various roads and construction of under bypass road from Kutchury Chowk to Jail Chowk, including beautification of various infrastructure and others work is proposed to be done. Secretary to Chief Minister-cum-City Development Secretary Vinay Kumar Choubey, Project Director Technical, Project Manager and other officials were present in the meeting.

In the meeting, Chief Minister Hemant Soren told the officials of JUDCO that his government is working with commitment to provide safe, smooth and quality roads to the residents of Ranchi. Flyover construction work is in progress on many important roads of Ranchi while the work of beautifying and streamlining the city’s infrastructure is also being done.

The Chief Minister said that JUDCO should prepare a solid and better action plan for the development of the infrastructure of Ranchi city by using modern technology and completing the plans on time.

The Chief Minister said that widening and strengthening of roads from Albert Ekka Chowk to Kutchury Chowk and from Ratu Road Chowk via Kutchury to Jail Chowk is essential. He said that Traffic pressure is high on these major roads of Ranchi due to which traffic jams happen every day. By arranging these roads, people can be saved from the situation of jams and both the time and money of the passengers will be saved he suggested.
