Protest outside JPSC office over delay in Mains exam results

Ranchi: A large number of aspirants from across Jharkhand gathered outside the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) office on Friday, staging a protest to demand the immediate release of the long-pending Mains examination results. The demonstration, held outside the commission’s premises on Lalpur Road, was marked by slogans, banners, and visible frustration among the candidates.

The protesting aspirants expressed anger over what they described as repeated delays and vague assurances from the commission. Many said they have been waiting for over nine months without any concrete update regarding the results. They accused the JPSC of playing with their futures by constantly postponing the announcement without valid explanations, which has only intensified their frustration.

When several candidates sought to meet JPSC officials to voice their concerns, they were informed that the chairman was not present at the office. This response further inflamed tensions among the protestors, who viewed it as another sign of the commission’s negligence.

The candidates also questioned the transparency and efficiency of the commission’s functioning. They warned that if the results are not released soon, they would be compelled to escalate the protest into a larger statewide movement. Among their key demands are the immediate release of results for the 11th to 13th JPSC Mains exams, the prompt issuance of the 14th JPSC examination notification, and the declaration of all other pending results. They are also calling for greater transparency in the overall selection process.

The protest underscores the mounting frustration among job aspirants in Jharkhand, many of whom have invested years in preparation and are now feeling neglected by the system.
