Ranchi: Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Gupta on Friday reviewed the progress of cases registered in connection with tampering and forgery in land records. The review meeting was held at his office in Ranchi, where he was joined by IG Ranchi Range Akhilesh Kumar Jha, IG CID Surdarshan Mandal, DIG-cum-SSP Ranchi Chandan Kumar Sinha, Additional SP CID Deepak Kumar, and other officials from the Crime Investigation Department.
During the meeting, the DGP emphasized the need for speedy and impartial investigations into all such cases involving tampering or forgery of land records. He directed officials to utilize modern technology and work in coordination with technical experts to detect and uncover digital irregularities involved in these offences.
Gupta also instructed officials to ensure strict legal action against all guilty parties in these cases. Additionally, he underlined the importance of developing a strategic action plan to prevent such land-related frauds in the future.
The meeting concluded following the review and the issuance of necessary directives.
