Possibility of rain in many districts of Jharkhand including Ranchi – MeT Department

Ranchi: According to Meteorological Department Chief Abhishek Anand, There is a possibility of rain in many parts of the state in the first week of January. The Meteorological Department has attributed this change in weather to cyclonic circulation.

It may rain at some places in Jharkhand for the next four-five days. There is an effect of fog and mist in many parts of the state. The sky remained clear in the capital but clouds started appearing in many areas including Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, West Singhbhum, Simdega.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in view of the changing weather patterns. There is no possibility of change in the minimum temperature of other parts of the state including the capital. There was moderate fog or mist on the morning of January 2.

Apart from the capital Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Gumla and Khunti, there is a possibility of partly cloudy sky at some places in the north-western part from January 3 to 5, during which there may also be rain. If it rains, the temperature in the state will drop further and the humidity will increase.

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature may increase by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius during the next 2 days. During this period, the minimum temperature of Ranchi is expected to be around 12 to 14 degrees Celsius. Continuous changes in weather are being seen in entire Jharkhand including Ranchi. While the cold wave lasted only for three-four days in November and December, now there are indications that the effect of cold will be less in January also.

The reason behind this is western disturbance. According to the indications, there are chances of western disturbances coming to Jharkhand two to three times in the month of January. Because of this, the first month of the New Year may remain out of the harsh cold.

According to the weather forecast for the next two to three days, there is every possibility of clouds and rain in Jharkhand. After this, severe cold is expected in other parts of the state including Ranchi, but due to western disturbance, there will be no cold wave or severe cold in January like every year. Its effect will be that the minimum temperature will not go below 10 degrees.

Fog and mist in the morning will be followed by partial clouds in the afternoon. It will be cloudy from Wednesday and there is a possibility of light rain. However, according to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of the minimum temperature falling due to rain. The night temperature will increase and is expected to reach 13 to 14 degrees.

The maximum temperature during the day can reach 26 degrees. After this, the temperature is likely to gradually increase by 4 degrees for the next two days. On Tuesday, Ranchi’s maximum temperature was recorded at 22.5 and minimum at 10.6 degrees.
