Khunti, Jul 1: On Sunday once again the district police conducted raids at the home of Yusuf Purti located at Udayburu village who is the mastermind behind the pathlgadi incidents taking place in the district.
During the raid police recovered documents related to Bank of Gramsabha and also recovered the Rs 2 lakh in cash which was deposited in the bank and other documents related to it. Couple of days earlier also police had conducted raids at his house in which bank pass books, application form for the post of teachers and LPG gas connection paper was recovered.
Post the release of the four jawans who had been taken away by the pathalgadi supporters the district police has intensified its operations to nab Purti and other leaders who are behind the pathalgadi taking place in the area. Police has conducted raids at several locations including Mangardaha, Bhoot and Siladon village and other pockets for the arrest of Purti.
Senior district police officials have maintained that they will continue their search until Purti and his fellow leaders are not nabbed. They said that police of other adjoining districts have also been alerted as these men may try to sneak in to other areas using the dense forest route.
