Ranchi: A Police official has been arrested while taking bribe in Jharkhand’s Palamau district on Thursday.
The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) team arrested Santosh Kumar, Assistant Police Sub Inspector (ASI)while taking a bribe of Rs 6000. The arrested ASI has been sent to jail.
The ACB team arrested the ASI posted at the Hussainbad police station of Palamau district. Ashish Kumar a resident of Sanda Goraiya village had lodged complaints to ACB. The ASI had demanded Rs 8000 to remove his name from an FIR.
The ACB team laid a trap on Thursday and arrested ASI while taking Rs 6000 cash as a bribe.
