Palamau: Sleuths of the Anti Corruption Bureau on Thursday caught an Assitant Sub Inspector of Police and a staff of the revenue department while they were accepting bribes in different districts of the state.
A report from Palamu said that an ASI posted in Hussainabad Police Station identified as Santosh Kumar was caught red-handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 6,000.
A complaint against him was registered by one Ashish Kumar Yadav who had claimed that the policeman was demanding the bribe to remove his name in a case. The ASI originally hails from the Dhanbad district.
On the other hand in Giridih from the circle office staff of the revenue department, Sanjay Sao was arrested while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 3,500 for land mutation.
A complaint against him was registered by Suresh Sao who had claimed that the staff had demanded a bribe for getting mutation of his land done.
