Police has important role to play in solving internal problems: CM

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday said that policemen have an important role to play in solving the internal problems and on their shoulder rests internal security.

Addressing a passing out parade at Jharkhand Armed Police-2 Tatisilwai grounds he said apart from internal security police has also the responsibility to tackle external problems. He said that for the last two years the world has been battling Coronavirus and even during the time of crisis the human face of Jharkhand got visible as not only did they establish coordination with the people but also worked to save the lives of the people.

The Chief Minister hoped that the jawans and officers passing out today will be using the skills which they have learnt during their training in the line of duty further they will also influencing the people around the area of their work. He said that with the change in times the challenges before the police has increased and during work, the policemen sometimes face the challenge from themselves.

The Chief Minister said that the jawans of Jharkhand Police have taken many brave steps and made achievements to their name. He said that from now one the jawans will move on a new journey and hoped that they will keep the honour of the uniform. He said that he was very happy to note that among the jawans and DSPs there are 166 females which is an indication of women empowerment. He hoped that with their efforts new energy will be brought in the state police and extended his best wishes to all of them.

Principal Secretary of the Home Department Rajeev Arun Ekka said that all those who are passing out will have an important role to play in the state police. He hoped that whatever skills they have learnt in their training they will put that into use in their workplace and also follow the rules and maintain discipline.

He said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister the state police has become more strong. Those present also included Khijri MLA Rajesh Kacchap, DGP Neeraj Sinha and others.
