Police escort vehicle overturns killing driver, 5 police jawans injured

Ramgarh: A vehicle of the Chatra police which was escorting a bus carrying workers who had arrived by a special train from Telangana overturned in the Ormanjhi valley in which a policeman was killed while five others were injured.

Police said that the Invader Jeep of Chatra police overturned in the early morning in which six policemen were injured.

The injured were rushed to Ramgarh Sadar Hospital where the driver of the police vehicle identified as Dinesh Kumar was declared dead by the doctors while treatment of remaining police jawans was going on in the Sadar Hospital

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has expressed his grief over the demise of constable Dinesh Kumar who was posted in Chatra district. He said that Dinesh Kumar was escorting the vehicle carrying workers who had returned home.

Hemant said that the state will never forget his sacrifice and prayed to the almighty to rest his soul in peace and give strength to the family to overcome the loss. He assured that the administration was with the family of the deceased.
