Gumla: The police arrested the criminal with a weapon who had come to commit robbery in a posh area near Patel Chowk. The accused were planning to rob a vehicle. As soon as they got wind of this, the police took immediate action and caught everyone.
The arrested accused include Munna Sahu, Suraj Kumar Singh and Shubham Kumar. All are residents of Ghaghra police station area of the district. Police have seized three country-made pistols, four bullets of .303, three bullets of .315 and two bullets of 12 bore from the accused.
Gumla SP said that last night information was received that four suspicious persons were sitting near Patel Chowk of Gumla police station area. When Gumla police station in-charge reached the spot with his team on information, everyone started running away.
The police force present on the spot ran and caught everyone. During the search, three country-made pistols and 9 bullets were found from them. During interrogation, the police found out that three of the four arrested accused had a criminal history. All three have been jailed in the past for Arms Act, robbery, theft and other crimes.
