Police along with CRPF arrested two liquor smugglers, bike recovered with 200 liters of illegal country liquor

Chatra:  The police is continuing its strict action against the liquor mafia operating in Chatra. Now, before Holi in the border area of Jharkhand-Bihar, a joint team of Jharkhand and Bihar Police along with CRPF jawans have started conducting a special operation against liquor smugglers.

During this campaign, the joint team has taken major action against the liquor mafia. Security forces have arrested two smugglers with 200 liters of illegal country-made Mahua liquor being sent to Bihar from Naukdiha Nursery of the police station area.

The incident took place in the Hunterganj police station area located on the Jharkhand-Bihar border of the district. This action has been taken on the basis of secret information received by SP Vikas Pandey.

Chanesh Yadav, resident of Jabda village and two smugglers of interstate gang named Tunesh Yadav have been arrested from Naukdiha area of Hunterganj police station area. Hunterganj police station along with Bihar’s Sherghati police and CRPF during the liquor destruction campaign being conducted for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The joint team has achieved success. Besides, two splendor bikes of smugglers used in smuggling have also been seized from the spot.

After which, on the behest of the arrested smugglers, 300 liters of Mahua liquor and about 2500 kilos of Java Mahua, which were stockpiled in drums on the ground near the liquor distilleries operating illegally in the forest, were also seized and destroyed on the spot. Besides, the liquor distillery was also demolished by using JCB.

This joint action of Jharkhand-Bihar Police has created panic among smugglers and mafia. Police officials involved in the campaign have said that the campaign against mafias and drug dealers will continue.
