PMLA court to give its verdict on Hemant Soren’s bail plea on May 13

Ranchi:  Ranchi PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) special court will give its verdict on May 13 on the bail plea of land scam case accused and former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren. It will be important to see whether the court grants bail to Hemant Soren or rejects his petition.

Earlier, during the hearing on May 4, after debate between Hemant Soren and ED for more than an hour, the court had reserved its decision. During the debate, on one side the defense side i.e. Hemant Soren presented arguments for granting him bail.

On the other hand, his arguments were strongly opposed by the ED. Actually, former jailed CM Hemant Soren has approached the court for his bail. He has filed a bail petition through his advocate.

The main accused in this case, former Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Bhanu Pratap, a light employee of Bargain area, are currently lodged in judicial custody in Birsa Munda Central Jail. Hemant Soren was arrested by ED in a money laundering case on the night of January 30 after resigning from the post of CM.
