Mumbai: Pavitra Punia has strongly reacted to online trolling and constant speculation around cosmetic surgeries, urging people to stop interfering in actors’ personal choices.
Taking to social media on Thursday morning, Pavitra shared a video featuring an image of Mouni Roy from the screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2. Along with it, she posted a sharp message aimed at trolls, asking them to stop making unnecessary comments about actors’ appearances.
In the video, Pavitra questioned the growing culture of trolling and also pointed out how certain media platforms fuel such discussions through suggestive captions. She said that these tactics often encourage audiences to speculate and engage in baseless commentary.
Calling out those who frequently accuse actors of undergoing multiple surgeries, she said such remarks are irrelevant and intrusive. “If someone chooses to do something, it’s their personal decision. We don’t come to you for advice,” she remarked, adding that people should refrain from passing judgments.
She also noted that while some in the industry openly talk about such choices, it still doesn’t give others the right to troll. Urging people to stop, she bluntly told trolls to mind their own business instead of spreading negativity.
In her caption, Pavitra expressed disappointment over the lack of sensitivity online, questioning whether trolling had become a paid activity for some.
Pavitra Punia is known for her roles in shows like Love U Zindagi and Baalveer Returns, and for participating in reality shows such as MTV Splitsvilla 3 and Bigg Boss 14.
