Panel discussion on ‘Just Transition in Indian Coal Sector – Way Forward’ organized in CCL

Ranchi: A ‘Panel Discussion’ was organized at CCL Headquarters, Ranchi on Just Transition in the Indian Coal Sector – Way Forward, the main objective of which is to achieve the goal of reducing global temperature below 2 degrees through sustainable mining.

On the special occasion, CMD CCL Dr. B. Veera Reddy, Chairman, Government of Jharkhand, JTTF, A.K. Rastogi, Director Technical, Operations R.B. Prasad, Director Technical Planning Project, ICL, N.K. Singh, Director Technical, Planning-Project, BCCL, S.K. Singh, CEO, CEED, Ramapati Kumar, Director, Personnel, Harsh Nath Mishra, CVO, CCL, Pankaj Kumar were present.

Besides, area officials including CCL Headquarters also participated in this panel discussion.

Addressing the program, CMD CCL said that work related to Just Transition is going on and sustainable mining is being done through the FMC project, underground mines and stakeholders living in the mining area will also be made aware about it.

On this occasion, Chairman, JTTF A.K. Rastogi, Director Technical, Operations, R.B. Prasad, Director Technical Planning-Project, ICL, N.K. Singh, Director Technical, Planning-Project, BCCL S.K. Singh, CEO, CEED Ramapati Kumar, Director Personnel, Harsh Nath Mishra, CVO, CCL Pankaj Kumar discussed Just Transition in their respective addresses and all said that energy transition is certain.
