Panchayat secretariats should be made more active for implementation of schemes: CS

Ranchi, Jul 15: Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma today directed the officials of the rural development department to make the pancahayat secretarist more active so that the government schemes can be more effectively implemented on the ground.

 

Chairing a review meeting of the Rural Development Department here she directed the deputy development commissioners to ensure that employment day is organised at the secretariats and a complaint box is also kept and the mukhiyas should sit in the secretariat twice in a week and listen to the complaints of the people.

 

She directed to make sure that every month a meeting of the village panchayat coordination committee is held and asked to establish the business correspondents and Pragya Kendras at the panchayat secretariats. She directed to allot a room for the gram samitit and said a periodic review should be conducted on the functioning of the panchayat secretariats.
