PAN Asia Metals Ltd CMD discuss lithium exploration in Jharkhand with Hemant Soren

Ranchi: Paul Lock, Chairman cum Managing Director of Pan Asian Metals Ltd met Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the state secretariat on Wednesday and discussed about lithium exploration in the state.

During the meeting Lock said “there is huge possibilities of lithium in the state. Lithium is used in making different kinds of batteries. As per information lithium is available in Jharkhand’s Koderma, Hazaribagh and parts of the state”.

The Pan Asian Metals Pvt Ltd toured parts of the state to gather information about lithium. He informed Chief Minister said that the company is interested to invest in lithium mining.

He also said that the company expects support and cooperation from the state govt. “ Jharkhand is known of mineral resources and it is good indication and matter of happiness that lithium is found in many parts of the state. The company should submit detailed project report as per guidelines of the state and central govt for mining of lithium to secretary mines and mineral development department” said Chief Minister to Lock.

He said that the state govt would take appropriate decisions as per the rules and regulations of lithium mining. He also assured to extend all possible help to the investors.

During the meeting Chief Secretary Sukhdeo Singh, Principal Secretary of Chief Minister Vandana Dadel, CM Secretary Vinay Chaube, and other senior govt officials were present.
