OPD patients will undergo dialysis in RIMS from October 31, Health Minister will inaugurate

Ranchi: Health Minister Banna Gupta will officially inaugurate the dialysis unit, library and referral malnutrition treatment centre operated on PPP mode in RIMS on October 31. Apart from this, he will also inaugurate the rest centre for patients and their families outside the Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre, and Trauma and Radiology Centre.

The dialysis centre run by NephroPlus in RIMS was started on October 17. Now dialysis of patients will be started on OPD basis from 31st. RIMS Director Dr. Rajeev Gupta said that apart from this arrangement of 25 beds, the already-operated 10 bed old dialysis unit will continue to operate. Here card holders, patients of Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Chief Minister Critical Illness Scheme will get the facility of free dialysis. Whereas dialysis of normal patients will be done for Rs 1341.

The Referral Malnutrition Treatment Centre has been established in the first floor of the Trauma Centre of RIMS. Here, children who need special care and treatment will be referred from various malnutrition treatment centres. He will be treated by keeping him here. 

The nodal officer of this centre will be Dr. Asha Kiran. This centre will be operated under the supervision of the HOD of the Pediatric Department. Here, malnourished children will also be given food under diet. There will also be arrangements for complete treatment.

Libraries have been built in all four blocks of the Academic Block. This will also be formally inaugurated on 31st October. In this library, 501 students of RIMS will be able to sit together and study. 92278 books have also been arranged in this library. Apart from this, 81 computers are also being installed with the internet, in which they will be able to study through e-study material. 

The Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre will also be inaugurated in RIMS. Before this, the vaccine has been given to 12 people so far as a trial. It is mandatory for travellers visiting many countries to take yellow fever vaccination. People will benefit from this.

Apart from this, the Director informed that 16 beds have been increased in Urology and 6 in Nephrology. Along with this, the number of beds is also being increased in Neeku and Piku.
